User account rules
User accounts are necessary to add content to this web site, anyone may create a user account. This website is for promoting races and running clubs. See what a running club is here. Users should be runners, race directors or event managers. All content should be running related. All running, track, bicycling, hiking, orienteering, swimming, rowing, paddling, snowshoe, walking and similar events are welcome. This site has a zero-tolerance spam policy. Inflammatory, off topic posts are deleted, user accounts may be deleted or blocked and all content created by that account can be removed.
In order to keep the user database table down to a manageable size the following rules will be applied:
- Users that add content are contributors. Use the request new password link if your password does not work. Use the contact form if you can not log in and you have a different email address.
- Events that that not been updated for over 3 years may be deleted and contributor accounts may be deleted if their events have not been updated for over 3 years.
- Users that have had not created content or logged in for over a year may be deleted but can be recreated. How to create a user account
- Accounts that have been created but never accessed will deleted after 5 days. Use the contact form if you do not receive your welcome email.
