Milli Mile road race
My name is Dylan Lafond and I am the Assistant Cross Country/Track Coach at
Millikin University as well as race director of the Milli Mile road race
which is held in Decatur, IL on Oct. 6th. I wanted to reach out to you in
hopes to gain some interest in some of your runners about the event. As the
new race director, my goal is to make this even bigger and bigger each year
not only to make it a competitive race but to also help raise funds for the
Millikin XC/TF teams.

Millikin University Cross Country/Track and Fleet Feet present the 3rd Annual
Milli Mile Road Race held in Decatur, IL. Created for all competition and age
levels, our one mile road course is USATF certified and only has one left
turn, which is capable of turning out some fast times! Come join us on Oct.
6th at 8:30am to see how fast you can run a mile.
Registration fee is $20 which includes an aluminum Milli Mile water bottle, a
raffle ticket for our many drawings, and a pancake breakfast. THE FIRST 25
REGISTERED RUNNERS WILL RECEIVE A "FLEET FEET" BONDIBAND HEADBAND!!

Packet Pick-up Information:
Friday, Oct. 5th from 4-6pm or on race day from 7-8am. All packet pick-ups
will be located at the Decatur Fleet Feet which is located at 1090 W Wood St,
Decatur, IL 62522.
Race day schedule:
7:15-8:15a.m. - Check in at Fleet Feet Decatur.
8:15 a.m. - Shuttle will take you to the start of race on N Church Street.
8:30 a.m. – Race Starts.
Pancake breakfast to follow the race!

Starting on the corner of William & Church St. you run south down Church St.
for about a quarter of a mile and take a right onto Woods St. From there it
is a straight shot to the finish which is in front of the Fleet Feet store.
Although it is small, the course is netted downhill!
